I had a similar problem with my poli-vbelt.....
the original had 6 grooves and i put on a 7 groove belt.......!
all the squeeling stopped,and the slipping......

@ also im involved in engine managemnet and tuned my ecu ! the car pumps out around 154 hp with an exhaust,air intake mod to existing airbox inner neck.......and real good torque......also i raised the rev limit to 7500 rpm.....now the rx4 kicks butt!!!
im open to any info you need or help as far as ecu's are concerned!

BUT there is now problem in modifying the deisel ecu.....
Im looking to get all i can from theis motor.....it is my jib to suck all i can out of it , but with reliability!
